Technician Class Classes are held each Spring and Fall. The 7 week course prepares students for the amateur radio Technician Class Examination along with providing the necessary knowledge and practice in getting on the air from the start. The Technician class license is the first in three license types in the amateur radio service. This is considered the beginning course into the Amateur Radio.

General Class
This class is in development. The course prepares students for the amateur radio General Class Examination. The General class license is the second in three license types in the amateur radio service. This is considered the intermediate course in the Amateur Radio Service. June 2014 - TBA
Ham CRAM
The Ham CRAMS are for those who want to earn their amateur radio license on their own without attending a 7 week course and can read prepare themselves
for the examination. The 4 hours cram reviews each question and answer and then allows students to take the test immediately following the session. The Ham
CRAMS are held quarterly at the Washoe Regional Emergency Operations Center at 8am. August 17, 2013 November 16, 2013
New Hams Workshop
The New Hams Workshop provides those who recently passed their exams via the Ham CRAM or the Class Room Course are given an overview and information on
how to get on the air. This 3 hour workshop provides general information and a question and answer session. The workshop also encourages newly license hams to

VoIP Workshop - IRLP/EchoLink Class
The VoIP, Voice over IP, workshop introduces students into the world of EchoLink/IRLP and other VoIP systems. The course will provide an overview of the VoIP protocol and a little history. Repeater Usage & Etiquette Class
This workshop provides an overview of the SNARS repeater usage and guidelines along with general etiquette and usage. This course also provides for examples and a question and answer session. TBA - Registration to open soon
