Frontier Amateur Radio Society

In 2011 the Frontier Amateur Radio Society (FARS) celebrated their 25th anniversary as an ARRL Special Service Club.  FARS has long been known as the club which specializes in HF activities.

FARS has a breakfast social the second Saturday of each month at 7:30 AM at the Omelet House Restaurant, located in the Rancho Plaza at the corner of Charleston and Rancho in Las Vegas.  Everyone in the amateur radio community is invited and welcome to join FARS at this monthly event. 

Membership is open to anyone interested in radio activities.  FARS does not have dues or membership fees.  FARS repeaters are located on Black Mountain-Arden, and in the Northwest Las Vegas Valley.

Las vegas repeater association

The Las Vegas Repeater Association, often referred to as HXO operates VHF and UHF repeater systems troughout  Southern Nevada.  Meetings are the third Saturday of each month at 8:00 AM

Membership is by invitation.  Enrollment fee is $60.00 and annual dues are $120.00

Sisterhood of amateur radio

SOAR, the Sisterhood Of Amateur Radio is dedicated to advancing amateur radio among women and girls.  SOAR which was founded in Las Vegas has grown to be international in scope, with National and International Sisters located throughout the world.  SOAR was recently featured in an article in World Radio magazine.

Full membership in SOAR is open to any female licensed amateur.  Associate Membership is available to any un-licensed female interested in amateur radio.  Affilliate Membership is open to any male family member or significant other of a SOAR member.  SOAR does not have dues or membership fees.  Breakfast meeting is at 9:00 AM the third Saturday each month. Dessy B's Steakhouse, Tropicana and Eastern, Las Vegas.

Nellis Radio Amateur Club

The Nellis Radio Amateur Club meets at the Outdoor Recreation Building located on Nellis Airforce Base in northeast corner of the Las Vegas valley.  Membership is open to licensed amateur radio operators.  Dues are currently $24.00 per year.  Meetings are held the second Thursday of each month at 7:00 PM

The Las Vegas Radio Amateur Club meetings are held 7:00 PM at Denny's Restaurant, 6300 W. Charleston Rd., on the third Tuesday of every month except  December.  
Dues are $30.00 per year.

NARRI operates a system of repeaters intergrated into various amateur radio VOIP linking systems, including IRLP, D-Star, Echo-Link and All Star. Dues are $100.00 per year

The purpose of Las Vegas Regional SKYWARN isto further the exchange of information and cooperation between members,
to promote radio and weather knowledge, fraternalism and individual operating efficiency in support of the SKYWARN program.
All persons interested in Amateur Radio and SKYWARN communications shall be eligible for membership. Membership in LVRS
applies to anyone who is an Amateur Radio operator and who has attended at least one SKYWARN training class. Annual spring meeting.
No dues or fees.

want to become members of our radio club group. The Radio Club is one of many special interest groups within the IPA that enjoys
the hobby of AMATEUR RADIO and the world-wide communication capabilities available for contacting fellow officers around the
globe having similar interests. The U.S section Radio Club became an official entity in 1966, and has been operating for the past 
37 years as a continuous and growing group.
