An ARRL affiliated club, promoting the concept of building and operating low power, battery powered Amateur Radio stations.  Participates in portable, contesting operations, and general Amateur Radio education.Reno QRP's monthly luncheon meetings take place on the third Monday of the month.
Location: Alamo/Petro Shopping Center, 1950 East Greg Street Sparks, NV. The restaurant is located in the "Alamo Truck Stop" located on Greg Street south of I-80 between Sparks Blvd. and Vista Blvd. off ramps.

The Sierra Nevada Amateur Radio Society was incorporated as a cooperative, non-profit, Nevada corporation on April 16, 1968, for the purpose of fostering the educational and scientific needs of Western Nevada's radio amateur community.

The Electrical Engineering Department and the Associated Student Union of the 
University of Nevada Reno sponsor our Amateur Radio station. Everyone is
welcome  to visit the station located on top of the Scrugham Engineering and
Mines  building on the University of Nevada Campus.
