Special Edition - Field Day 2014

Nevada Amateur Radio Appreciation Month was capped off in grand style as Hams from all corners of the Silver State took to parks, mountain tops, schools, and emergency management facilities to take part in Field Day 2014.

Modern amateur radio technology was showcased as Nevada hams beamed live Amateur Television feeds, spoke with astronauts aboard the International Space Station, and deployed antennas through the use of flying drones.

Young hams were particularly involved in this years activities, most notably 8 year old Marty Simon - KG7MDB, 10 year old Sam Chase-KG7HBY, and 14 year olds Liam Kalson-KG7DYO and Dominic Simon-KF7YNB.
