Field Day is the weekend of June 27-28 at the Spring Creek Marina. As always FD is open to anyone who wishes to drop by and pay us a visit. There will be opportunity for anyone to sit a rig and make contacts but that won't be all. Plans include some tech sessions with hands on training as well.
Set up for FD will take place starting at noon on Friday and we can use all the help we can get. We have a Cushcraft A4S beam, a 75 meter dipole, and a Butternut vertical to errect. We use solar power so there are also panels, batteries and DC power lines to run along with 3 rigs to set up.
Don Tanner will be setting up the PC network for logging and Gene d'Asto will be involved with the tech sessions.
A couple of weeks ago we posted on this group a list of things that each would add 100 points to our score, please check it out and see if you can put together something. As of now we know;
1. Dave Potter has done the media publicity,
2. Gene d'Asto will do the education sessions, and,
3.Dave will copy the message.
4. The public information table is still open,
5. We need to encourage at least 1 elected official like a County Commissioner, a City Councilman or the Sheriff to stop by,
6. Also need to encourage at least one gubment official from an agency we'd serve in times of an emergency to stop by.
We will most likely be having hot dogs, burgers chips and sodas to snack on. Sig, NV7E, said he'd be putting that together for us.
If anyone has questions or would like to lend a hand please feel free to respond.
