Las Vegas Repeater ASSociation has Picnic

Members and guests of the Las Vegas Repeater Association enjoyed their Annual Picnic at Hemenway Park in Boulder City this Saturday.
A cool breeze blowing over Lake Mead had many of these desert dwellers retreating to their cars for jackets and sweaters.
A tasty traditional cook-out was all it took to get everyone to forget about the wind. Burgers and franks, along with a nice selection of side dishes, ensured that everyone went away with a full tummy.
Following the meal, members and guests socialized and enjoyed the view of Lake Mead.
A herd of Nevada Bighorn sheep came down from the adjacent mountains to graze near the picnickers.
For recreation an egg-toss game was organized. Teams "suited-up" with giant garbage bags and attempted to throw eggs to each other from ever widening distances, each trying not to break their egg and be eliminated.
Rumor has it that several NFL teams are now scouting Linda "The Arm" Kostelac-KC7IIT following her 97 yard "Hail Mary" pass in the final round.

The group finished out the day with a good ol' door prize drawing. Several lucky hams took home a prize.
