News Short: LVRAC Announces 2015 Officers![]() The Las Vegas Radio Amateur Club has announced that the following officers will lead the group during the upcoming year: President - Jerry Sobel KØMBB, Vice President - Mark Pallans W4MDP, Secretary - Gary Desler AA7YO, and Treasurer - Gerry Wojciechowski K9ADY.
The Board of Directors will consist of Marc Zuckerman K7MNZ, Ken McCracken KG7GW, and Keith Lee NØLSL. SNARS plans to install a new DMR repeater.
![]() At their November 19th meeting, the Board of Directors of the Sierra Nevada Amateur Radio Society (SNARS) approved the building of a new DMR repeater system for Reno and Sparks, Nevada.
The repeater is expected to be built on Peavine Peak. The new repeater will be on 444.925. A funding drive is now underway. |
Section Manager Continues Recovery![]() ARRL Nevada Section Manager Gary Grant K7VY remains in a Reno rehabilitation hospital where he is undergoing therapy for an earlier diagnosed condition. Mr. Grant was transferred to that facility last week following several weeks of hospitalization at Renown Medical Center in Reno.

The three new board members who will be serving in 2015 are Judy Carlson KE6GIW, Steve Johnson KS6A and John Byerly N7ROJ. |
