Convention planned by northern Nevada groups
Preparations are currently underway for a new Hamfest/Convention announced to be held in May 2014 in northern Nevada.
The event is being billed as the Nevada State Convention or NVCON and will be sponsored by the Sierra Nevada Amateur Radio Society in conjunction with the ARES groups in Washoe and Storey Counties.
Virginia City has been selected as the location for the event. However a date or venue has not been announced.
Early publicity says that the event will feature forums, the Reno Spring Swap meet, evening social events, and other activities.
