Pahrump VE is "paying it forward"

You'll find them pretty much on a monthly basis, in church basements,  at Lodges, schools, and town halls across the country...each giving up a chunk of their free time so that another persons life can be enriched by ham radio.  They are the VE's....Volunteer Examiners that welcome each new comer to our ranks.

Dick Grady-AC7EL is part of the foundation that makes up the VE Team in Nye County.  Grady and the other members of the Pahrump crew, know all about how ham radio benefits the community.  They also know firsthand of the benefits of being an amateur radio operator.

Just like all of their counterparts across the country, they view this service as just one way to give something back to ham radio and to ensure the future of amateur radio.  The group especially focuses on helping young people to become hams.

and..... Dick Grady has stepped the game up a notch.  Grady has offered to personally pay the examination fees for any young person under the age of 17 who wishes to take their amateur exam from the Pahrump group!

So, do you know a young person who you would like to send on a lifetime adventure?  Well then, there's no time like the present.....Dick Grady will pay for their ticket!
(Dick Grady-AC7EL, an Extra Class licensee, is a member of the Pahrump Amateur Radio Repeater Association and the Southern Nye County Amateur Radio Emergency Service)
